Reason 5000 why we can not trust the mainstream media

Ed Morrissey posted an excellent indictment of the New York Times' incredibly dishonest hit piece on Congressman John Boehner, right on cue with President Obama's thin skinned comments about him.

I really can't add much to Ed's piece other than to comment that the intellectual dishonesty of the mainstream media is not only just apparent to anyone paying attention, but it is also leading to the demise of the print media as well as television network news.

It's no small wonder why the Democrats want to put the FCC in charge of internet security and supposedly making it "content neutral".  The blogs are the new watchdogs of our politicians, as was so well illustrated starting with the "fake but true" memo's promoted by Dan Rather in the 2004 campaign.

This is no time to let our guard down, folks.  Keep informed, do a little independent research, and understand that the major media outlets are more propaganda channels than news organizations.
